Our Singing Cook

Evie's been so much fun lately. I feel like with each stage we keep saying, "No THIS is the best age." (Hopefully that'll continue throughout the teen years... I can only imagine what that's gonna be like.) Anywho, one day Evie helped me mix up some muffins. She just had to dress up for the part (the adorable paper chef's hat she made in daycare-for you crafty people out there it's just a piece of white tissue paper taped to the paper ring around her head. so cute...:)

And of course every now and then she "cooks" something up in her awesome play kitchen.

And here's our little singer/song writer in the making!! This is a medley of "Jesus Loves Me" and "Bob the Builder". (Hopefully Jesus won't mind... :)

Visit from the Fam!

In February my parents, Dave, Lex, Charlie and Caroline came to visit! We always LOVE IT when the family comes to town, and we had a blast!

Charlie and Evie got to have some quality cousin time. We went to the train musuem, jumped around on the kids' trampolines at Jump Street, and the highlight was a trip to Copper Mountain for the day on Saturday. Me, Kyle, Dave and my Dad went skiing while Mom and Lex took the kids to the outdoor playland called "Critterland". We thought they would only last for an hour or so and then they'd make the drive back home, but boy were we wrong! The kids loved it and didn't want to leave!! We all stayed the whole day and the kids went tubing down this mini-sledding hill for the little ones (Evie's first time sledding without crying...), and the biggest thing was this merry-go-round that pulled inner tubes around. Both kids fell asleep in the tubes and proceeded to take about an hour nap going around and around in their snow gear (ski goggles included... thanks Grandma!). It was the cutest thing EVER!!!

Charlie and Evie rode in the car all weekend together and luckily they both love Raffi. Here's their rendition of "5 Little Ducks":

Then before heading to the airport, Charlie showed Grandpa how to play MarioKart. (Charlie won... :)

It was an awesome weekend which went by way too fast!!
