SNOW DAY!!!!

It takes quite a bit to shut down a college, and I guess 2 feet of snow will do it! Yesterday school shut down at 3pm and today we had the whole day off. It was AWESOME!!!! All 4 of us played in the back yard this afternoon, Evie's first time in the snow! (Besides a few walks in the snow last winter.)

She didn't move too much outside, not sure if that's cuz she couldn't because of all of the clothes, or because she just wasn't sure about it all. But she liked watching Louie diving in the snow to catch snowballs!

It's hard to get across how deep the snow actually is in these pictures. But it was almost as tall as Louie is, and just past Kyle's knees. It's AWESOME!!!! (Although crazy to think that it's October still... and where the heck did fall go??)

Little Miss Acrobat

I came home from work one day to a giddy Daddy who said, "Evie, show Mommy what you learned today."

After a week or 2 of practicing, here's the tumbler herself:

(I only wish there was a video camera going while Kyle was showing her how to do it! Apparently it involved him doing them as well! :)

Walkin' Walkin' Walkin'

As of last weekend, Evie is done with crawling. She wants nothing to do with it, it's ALL about walking now. It's great! We love watching her walk all over, and she likes to do laps around the house. And of course she does the wide-leg wabble right now, which is hilarious!

She's also still talking up a storm and seems to have taken on Chinese, Yiddish, and German. I swear her dialog sounds like different foreign languages! She's imitating us more and more, so every now and then she'll say a word that we can actually understand.

I've probably said it before, but it's just amazing how fast she's changing and growing! We're having a blast!!

I swear we did not set this up. She LOVES cuddling with Louie.

She also loves giving hugs and kisses to Lloyd and Louie. :) (Of course this usually ends up with her getting fur in her mouth, so she'll walk around with her tongue sticking out to get the fur off...)

1st Birthday

Evie turned ONE a couple of weeks ago and had an AWESOME 1st birthday party in WI with her cousin Charlie who turned 2!

Kyle's Mom and I made her Cookie Monster cake. She didn't dive in like I thought she would, but she still got a bit messy. :)

Charlie had an adorable train cake that his mom made.

We had a great trip to WI (other than the flights being difficult for Evie to sit through) and had a blast hanging out with all of the fam.
